Puzzle Falls App Launch and Art Exhibit
September 9, 2011Innovative game app brings local artists to a national audience.
Clearwater, FL – The Puzzle Falls App Launch and Art Exhibit will take place Friday, September 9 at Menaul Fine Art Studio in Clearwater (1750 N. Hercules Ave.). This special, one-night-only show runs from 6PM – 10PM, and admission is free.
For one night only, Menaul Fine Art Studio will host the creator and artists behind the new iPad and Android game app Puzzle Falls. Guests will have the opportunity to watch and play Puzzle Falls on a projection screen while enjoying wine and cheese, live music, and photographs and digital art from six of the Tampa Bay area's finest artists.
Puzzle Falls is the first game app from Palm Harbor-based game designer Heath Fogelman, creator of the Nature Dome dueling card game. The first app of its kind, Puzzle Falls applies Tetris®-style piece-dropping gameplay to jigsaw-puzzle construction in a 3D perspective. Players move, rotate and drop pieces in place to build puzzles featuring the work of the artists who will be exhibiting at the event.
Featured artists include Susan Knodle, Sherry Williamson, Jason Henthorne, Patti Krumeich, Scott Menaul and Cheryl Anne Day-Swallow. Live music will be provided by Bill Cote of The Reverse Engineers.
